Cooking Class Reservation Cancellations

We respectfully request that should you need to cancel a reservation for one of our cooking classes, please do so as soon as possible. We almost always have a waiting list and your timely notice of cancellation provides time to contact those on the waiting list, hopefully in time for them to make arrangements to attend the class.

Our in-house and guest chefs usually purchase their food supplies at least the day prior to each scheduled class. Therefore we require that cancellations be made at least 24 hours prior to each class so that the instructor can adjust the food and supplies. Cancellations of less than 24 hours will result in a charge of 50% of the class cost to cover unnecessary supplies and food.

We try to select 7 to 10 wines for each tasting, shifting our emphasis from whites to red as the cool weather starts to settle in. We specialize in great wines selling between $12 to $25, which we also believe taste better than their selling price. Always a great selection of horsd’oeuvres to cleanse our “pallet.”

Peggy Platonos, who recently moved to our area, has a varied and colorful past that will captivate you. Chef Peggy and her Greek spouse opened a Greek restaurant in London England back in the 70’s and it quickly rose to prominence as one of London’s top tier Greek Bistros. The restaurant continued operations for many years winning great ratings and accolades.

Ron is the programs & events director for Half Hitch Tackle on Thomas Drive at the Beach. You fishermen will not need a introduction to Ron as he is one of the foremost authorities on fish; catching, cleaning or cooking. Ron currently teaches our snowbirds about our local fish as well as an adjunct instructor in the Encore Program at Gulf Coast State College. You do not want to miss this class!!!! Not many people possess his knowledge about our local waters and its bounty.

After taking the summer off Date Nite returns featuring one of our most devoted and popular guest Chefs, John Seiffer. John’s first course will feature Braised Short Ribs with Sea Scallops served over Mashed Creamed Cauliflower, followed by John’s special salad. Grouper is the Main course presented with a Chef’s choice of vegetables of the season finishing with one of our signature desserts.
